Overview

You have the right to request deletion of your kovaa account and all associated personal data. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In-App Deletion

The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the kovaa app:

  1. Open the kovaa app
  2. Navigate to Settings
  3. Tap Account
  4. Select "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your request

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:

  • Send an email to support@kovaasport.com
  • Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
  • Provide the email address associated with your kovaa account
  • We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days

What Gets Deleted

When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your account profile (name, email, personal information)
  • All workout and training data
  • Health and fitness metrics (heart rate, HRV, sleep data)
  • Training plans and preferences
  • App settings and customizations
  • Any photos or content you uploaded

What We Retain

In some cases, we may retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes:

  • Transaction records (for tax and accounting purposes, typically 7 years)
  • Information necessary to comply with legal obligations
  • Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service
  • Anonymized, aggregated data used for analytics (cannot be linked back to you)

Timeline

Account deletion is processed as follows:

  • In-app deletion: Immediate deactivation, full deletion within 30 days
  • Email request: Identity verification within 3-5 business days, full deletion within 30 days
  • Retention period: Some data retained for up to 90 days in backups before permanent deletion

Important Warnings

This Action is Permanent

  • Account deletion cannot be undone
  • All your training data, workouts, and progress will be permanently lost
  • You will lose access to any active subscriptions (no refunds for remaining time)
  • If you want to use kovaa again, you will need to create a new account from scratch

Alternatives to Deletion

If you're considering deletion because of a specific issue, consider these alternatives:

  • Pause your subscription: Keep your data but stop billing
  • Export your data: Download a copy of your training data before deleting (Settings → Data Export)
