Overview
You have the right to request deletion of your kovaa account and all associated personal data. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what happens to your data.
How to Delete Your Account
Method 1: In-App Deletion
The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the kovaa app:
- Open the kovaa app
- Navigate to Settings
- Tap Account
- Select "Delete Account"
- Confirm your request
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:
- Send an email to support@kovaasport.com
- Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
- Provide the email address associated with your kovaa account
- We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days
What Gets Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account profile (name, email, personal information)
- All workout and training data
- Health and fitness metrics (heart rate, HRV, sleep data)
- Training plans and preferences
- App settings and customizations
- Any photos or content you uploaded
What We Retain
In some cases, we may retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes:
- Transaction records (for tax and accounting purposes, typically 7 years)
- Information necessary to comply with legal obligations
- Data needed to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service
- Anonymized, aggregated data used for analytics (cannot be linked back to you)
Timeline
Account deletion is processed as follows:
- In-app deletion: Immediate deactivation, full deletion within 30 days
- Email request: Identity verification within 3-5 business days, full deletion within 30 days
- Retention period: Some data retained for up to 90 days in backups before permanent deletion
Important Warnings
This Action is Permanent
- Account deletion cannot be undone
- All your training data, workouts, and progress will be permanently lost
- You will lose access to any active subscriptions (no refunds for remaining time)
- If you want to use kovaa again, you will need to create a new account from scratch
Alternatives to Deletion
If you're considering deletion because of a specific issue, consider these alternatives:
- Pause your subscription: Keep your data but stop billing
- Export your data: Download a copy of your training data before deleting (Settings → Data Export)
